Shreveport, LA – Mrs. Josephine Doll Hoover, 88, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012 in Tyler, TX after a brief illness. Visitation will held Sunday, June 24, 2012 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Osborn Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 11 am on Monday, June 25, 2012 at Forest Park Cemetery. Msgr Earl Provenza of Holy Trinity Catholic Church will officiate. Mrs. Hoover was a native of Shreveport, LA and a resident of Shreveport for several years. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church. While living in San Antonio, she was active in the Alamo Area Orchid Society, where she served as President. She was also a member of the San Antonio Womens Club, and the San Antonio Weimaraner Club. While living in Shreveport, Mrs Hoover was a member of the Marquette. Mrs. Hoover was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew E. Hoover, Sr.; parents, Charlie and Helen Doll; granddaughter, Leslie Renee Hoover; and sister, Dr. Paddy Ann Doll. She is survived by her sons, Dr. Andrew E, Hoover and wife, Jane, of Tyler TX; Charlie Hoover and wife, Patti Jo, of Friendswood, TX; and Sidney Hoover and wife, Karen, of New Braunfels, TX; her grandchildren, Ann Marie Salih and husband, Mark, Julie Hoover and fiancé Darren Miller, Matthew Hoover and wife, Angela, Brent Hoover, and one great-grandson, to be born in October 2012, and sister, Ludy Doll Sullivan, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearer will be Jim Shaw, Matt Hoover, Joe Chris Sullivan, Robert Henley, Brent Hoover, Darren Miller, and Mark Salih. Honorary pallbearer will be Harry Scott. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Park Place Nursing Home staff in Tyler, TX, her sitters, Sara Sarfo and Aisha Sagno, and her faithful helper Harry Scott.
